Visiting CCT
As we are a small organisation, our staff are very busy with the day to day running of CCT. We regret that it is not always possible to accommodate visitors with a trip to the CCT projects.
If you are currently involved with CCT work, whether donating or sponsoring a child or family, you are welcome to visit us on Saturdays between 10am and 3pm. Visiting hours for Youth Centre sponsors are from 10am-11am, Monday- Friday.
We do ask that any visits to CCT are organised in advance by contacting us at info@cambodianchildrenstrust.org.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child or donating to CCT, please contact info@cambodianchildrenstrust.org
Current Donor/Sponsor visits
We greatly appreciate all the help, support and effort that sponsors and donors give to CCT and welcome you to visit the project, child or family you've been supporting.
We know that you'll understand and support our belief that these children, like all others, have a right to a safe and private home environment, and as such we are very conscious about impacting upon this environment as little as possible. For this reason, we have provided the following information and guidelines that we hope will help maximize your visit for both you and the children and families of CCT.
Just a reminder: Cambodian dress sense is modest and conservative by western standards. We ask that you please be respectful of this and cover shoulders and to the knees when visiting CCT.
For those who are not sponsors or donors who are interested in visiting CCT, please contact us about coming and visiting CCT’s office for more information about our projects.
FAQ
Visiting Hours:Between 10am - 3pm, Saturdays only for Child and Family Sponsors.
10am - 11am, Monday-Friday for Youth Centre sponsors.
What can I bring? While child sponsors are more than welcome to bring gifts, we always suggest that such gifts are able to be shared; whether they be board games, footballs or giant skipping ropes, something that reinforces the value of sharing and helping make others happy.
Do I need to make an appointment?
As all the kids are incredibly busy with school and many extra curricular activities, we require a minimum of 2 weeks notice for any visits. Where this is not possible we will make the best effort to accommodate you and make your visit as fulfilling as possible, but cannot guarantee that this will be possible.
Can I take a child on an excursion away from CCT (For a meal, shopping, etc)?
No, this is not possible in accordance with our Child Protection Policy. If there is a case of a group excursion outside of CCT which overlaps with your stay, you would be more than welcome to join us, should we have enough time in advance to prepare.
Where is CCT?
Due to our strict Child Protection Policy, we do not publicize the address of the children’s homes on our website as this would be a direct violation of their rights to a private home life.
Important: Due to our strict Child Protection Policy, we require that all visitors present a photo copy of their passport and sign our visitors agreement upon arrival at CCT, and must be accompanied by a member of staff at all times.
